Q. What does double din and single din mean?
A. This is the physical height of the unit you are wishing to install into the vehicle.  A single din has a cage height of 52mm, a double din is twice the height at 104mm.

Q. why are there different model fascias for the same vehicle
A. If the vehicle has the ability to accept a double din fascia, then you may have an FP (single din) and a DFP (double din) fascia available for the model, alternatively, some vehicles have different dash colours, so the same fascia may be available in these alternative, this is usually shown at the end of the part number S=Silver, BL=Blue etc

Q. What is a PC2 harness adaptor for?
A. This adaptor plugs into the cars factory harness to create a standard ISO connection.  This allows fitment of an aftermarket stereo.

Q. What is a PC9 Harness adaptor for?
A. This adaptor plugs into the cars factory harness to allow an aftermarket stereo to communicate with a vehicles on-board amplifier.

Q. What is a ISO antenna connection?
A. This is the second most common antenna connection, it is a short circular shape, with a stubby pin, resembling a household TV coaxial connection.

Q. What is a Din antenna connection?
A. This is the most common antenna connection.  Tubular in shape with an elongated pin, it resembles a rifle bullet

Q. What is a Fakra antenna connection?
A. A very small click lock pin assembly held within a square plastic casing.  The colour of the casing denotes the function of the antenna (radio, TV, Phone etc)

Q. My car doesn’t have a Din, ISO or Fakra antenna?
A. Quite a few vehicle manufacturers use an antenna style of their own design.  We have a range of adaptor for these.

Q. What is a Steering Remote Interface?
A. This works as both a harness adaptor (changes the vehicle connections to ISO) and links a compatible aftermarket stereo to factory fitted remote controls on a vehicles steering wheel, column or dash.

Q. What is a Can Bus Interface?
A. Like the steering remote interface, this picks up the commands from the OEM system to link an aftermarket stereo unit to the vehicles OEM controls.  As an added benefit, these can link to additional commands such as Ignition supply, Illumination, Speed Pulse, Reverse Gear.  On different models you may have selection of these commands, or all of them.
