Phono Leads
Phono leads, also known
as RCA leads, are a very important part of a car audio system.
Used in amplified systems, they are used to transmit low level
voltage signals between hardware such as head units, amplifiers,
crossovers and signal processors. Because an amplifier will amplify
everything it receives, it is important to try and minimise noise
and interference. With this in mind, Autoleads manufacture phono
leads with single sheilding for simpler installs and for more complex
systems where interference is more likely double or triple sheilding.
Speaker Cable
Speaker cables are a very important
part of a car audio system. The sound being produced by a speaker
is only as good as the signal the speaker receives. The idea is
to get the signal from the stereo, or amplifier to the speakers
with as little resistance or interference as possible. Where possible
Oxygen Free Cable (OFC) should be used. Because oxygen in the cable
causes an oxidized layer of copper to build up around each strand,
this acts as an insulator and stops the copper strands from making
contact with each other, so the signal conductance is reduced.
Power Cable
Power Cable has a tough PVC outer jacket
and is made from oxygen free cable (0FC) ensuring optimum performance
for supply either directly to a single amplifier, or as a main
feed to distribution blocks in larger systems.
